How leaving of Van Persie will help Arsenal?

RVP should be sold for better

Its Deja Vu all over again as we are about to lose our fourth captain in 5 yrs. Thierry Henry in 2007, Gallas in 2010, Fabregas in 2011 and now RVP in 2012. It is now very clear that RVP is not willing to extend his contract and wants to play for another club as he thinks Arsenal lacks ambition. This decision has come under heavy criticism as he is betraying the club and the manager which made him what he is today. Arsene Wenger stood by him whenever he was injured or under performing and without Arsene Wenger he would not be RVP of today. All of this is true that he wants more money and trophies and he is betraying Arsenal but if he wants to leave I'd say let him. We want players who wear their hearts on their shirts not the ones who will just play because of money and he because his is made to. Keeping him against his will will be completely pointless. Plus he is going to be 29 soon and there is no way he is going to score 30 goals this season like the last one. Last season can be said as a one year wonder.
So we should sell him this summer itself as we can get a good sum from his sale and we can replace him with jovetic, llorente or lewandowski. And we would still have money to purchase a good CAM. After all he has just 1 year remaining on his contract and we all would hate it if he goes for free like Flamini. The new captain will be Thomas Vermalean which in my opinion is a much better leader than RVP. He is a true gunner and I am pretty sure that with the team right now and with a couple of additions he can lead us to trophies again. COYG!!!
