Another Arsenal Rumour

Now is the time for the Gunners if they hope to pull in another solid transfer name,
since many other clubs (Manchester United and Chelsea, to name a few) have added
solid names like Shinji Kagawa and Eden Hazard to their squads. Tottenham Hotspur is
making a move for Jose Salomon Rondon, so the Arsenal need to act quickly.
Arsenal has been rumored to be in the running for Malaga striker Rondon, even
after manager Arsene Wegner signed French forward Oliver Giroud for a transfer fee of
£13 million. Obviously, with that signing, Wegner needs to be a little more careful about
who to bring on. But with Giroud now on the squad, why do the Gunners need Rondon?
It's simple. The 22-year-old striker has barely started entering his prime and could
spell doom and gloom for opposing Premier League squads if the Arsenal succeed in
bringing him on board. Arsenal are willing to offer Rondon €18 million to play for them.
That seems a hefty price for another forward, but it could pay dividends in the future.
Rondon has scored 27 goals in his past two seasons in La Liga. The only downside to a
deal with Rondon would be Chelsea's interest in the Venezuelan star. If a bidding war
erupts, the price may become too heavy for the Gunners.
Last season alone, Rondon scored 11 goals for Malaga and qualified them for the
Champions League. And with interest from so many Premier League teams, Arsenal
should stay in the ring.Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly willing to let Giovanni dos Santos
go the other way in a potential signing of the Venezuelan star.
The club might be moving away from a deal with Rondon, with reported interest now
growing in Paulinho and French star M'Baye Niang. But they could do much worse than
Jose Salomon Rondon.I just cannot understand why Arsenal has to settle with the average
players.First we keep an eye on Oscar then we findout Chelsea  is  after the starlet so we
give up then we go for Ganso but again news comes in that some other team is after the
player and so we back out again and bid for Paulinho and the fans are expected to make
peace with it.This is a serious problem. Why are we so afraid of a bidding war?I am not
saying go for all the players and go bankrupt but at least get hold of atleast 1 or 2 marquee
players which we desperately need.
Financially weaker teams than us like Liverpool and even Tottenham are spending
and are going for the big players. Then why can't we when we are financially stable right
now.The board can't expect titles without proper investment.Since many years now Arsenal
have been losing their best players and the have been replaced by mediocre ones.It is the
genius of Arsene Wenger that we have managed to stay in top 4 in all the seasons and have
been competing if not winning for the trophies.
